Winter Updates – Feb 20

Winter's Quiet Work

Like the soil resting beneath winter’s surface, this is a time to nourish our foundations. By living intentionally with the seasons, we can cultivate balance, resilience, and a deeper connection to the land we protect and the community we serve.

A new year doesn’t have to mean rushing forward. Winter invites us to slow down, reconnect, and reflect, mirroring the natural cycles that sustain the land. When community comes together for the common good, we can create the conditions for shared and thriving abundance.

Below you can find Community Events and WKPG Updates. If you would like to get involved in our volunteer efforts Click Here. We look forward to continuing our conservation efforts with all of you!

Together, we can build strong community roots.

Sincerely,

Celeste & The WK Preservation Group

2026 Wilcox Nursery Spring Festival

Wilcox Nursery and Landscape can’t believe the time has come! We are thrilled to share that our Spring Festival is back for 2026!

Each year we like to partner with groups/organizations actively working to protect Florida’s amazing ecosystem’s. This year we’re supporting @savethewkp! This organization is doing amazing work using fundraising and grant opportunities to preserve land that would otherwise fall victim to overdevelopment. By supporting groups like WKPG we aren’t just protecting land, we’re protecting critical habitat that many native species need to survive, and strengthening biodiversity and sustainability in our local communities.

A portion of our daily sales will be donated to WKPG to help them and their mission!

Tell your friends! Your neighbors! Your family! Tell everyone!

Reflections

Saving The West Klosterman Preserve

The Power of Public Voices in Environmental Movements

We thank every caring heart who has dedicated their time to support this organization, from the time when it was an idea between neighbors to now. Without all of you, the WK Preserve would likely be another plot of freshly scraped land, ready for a few rows of townhomes.

Celebrating Together at Tarpon Cove

We were joyfully welcomed by community members at Tarpon Cove for a beautiful dinner celebrating our shared work to preserve land. The hosting was truly wonderful, and the evening was filled with connection, laughter, and gratitude!

Their passion and dedication helped amplify this effort, reminding us that when a community comes together, we can protect the places we love. We’re so thankful to celebrate and continue this work – together.

You can always connect with us on Facebook and our home page, wkpreserve.com, will have the most up-to-date information

From the bottom of our nature-loving hearts, we thank you for proving that our community can accomplish great things.
